Here Comes Trouble

[ Presents from the first few guests to arrive ]

Over the weekend my sister Amanda and I threw a shower for our sister Tegan who’s expecting a baby boy—currently nicknamed little buns since they don’t have a name picked out yet. After months of planning, hours of decorating and cooking we (including some fairy godmothers) managed to pull off a beautiful luncheon that left the mama-to-be glowing. Using two of her favorite colors, blue and orange, we incorporated antique blue and white bowls, oranges, ivory hydrangea’s, tangerine colored macaroons and miniature blue tea cups into the decor. Here are a few snaps I managed to take during the party.

[ The invitation, which matched the decor colors, was so cute we had to display it ]
[ Mamas-to-be ]
[ We used blue and white antique bowls filled with oranges as the centerpieces ]
[ A rustic chicken feeder filled with ivory Hydrangeas and oranges ]
[ Homemade candied orange slices dipped in chocolate—see again here—were placed at each table setting ]
[ Displayed baby pictures on flower frogs of each parent ]
[ A miniature tea cup with a white garden rose ]
