Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo, Liqwd Perfect Wave, Sacha Juan Ocean Mist, Moroccanoil Hair Spray
My friend Lindsey (see her here and here) has quite possibly the best head of hair. It’s always perfectly wavy, piecey and tousled, and the best part? She hardly uses any product. She’s one of those effortlessly stylish surfer girls with natural beach waves. After trying a handful of products and tools, I’ve come up with my own way of achieving what I now call the surfer girl wave.

Step 1: After showering apply a curl enhancing cream and twist wet hair into a bun. Sometimes I’ll leave it in overnight.

Step 2: Once dry, curl unruly pieces away from your face. Note: The bigger the barrel the better. I avoid using the clip and wrap my hair around the iron.

Step 3: Mist hair and curls with hair spray and crunch in an upward motion.

Step 4: Spray roots with a dry shampoo and shake/tousle your hair a bit. I really love Oscar Blandi’s Dry Shampoo because it smells amazing and doesn’t turn my hair white. Sometimes I finish with Sacha Juan Ocean Mist to add extra curl if I need it.

My end result!
