¡Viva La Fiesta!

Every year I’m rejuvenated with the festive surroundings of Fiesta in Santa Barbara. From the bright colors, delicious food, flamenco costumes, confetti and more, it’s hard not to shout out a little ¡viva la fiesta! from time to time. This year I managed to check off most of my favorite fiesta happenings from watching the parade to surprising someone with a cascarone (confetti egg) on their head and, of course, getting one in return. On Sunday we made it to the most authentic mercado at Our Lady of Guadalupe (a locals secret) where we loaded up on pozole, tamales, aguas frescas, churros and the best tacos I have ever had. It was the perfect ending to three days of fiesta fun.
