My sister recently passed down a Jax’s tweed coat that Oumie (my grandmother, see her here) gave her. To my luck, it fit me like a glove and I’ve been living in it ever since. I love the chestnut brown color and the tailored structure with buttoned cuffs—so Oumie’s style. Jax of Beverly Hills was one of her favorite designers in the 50’s and 60’s so my mom grew up wearing Jax slacks and white button downs that Oumie stocked her wardrobe with. I love thinking about the two of them shopping together when I wear this jacket.
