The only thing I’d ever known about Mary Kay products was that if you worked for them, you got a pink car. Since I’m always open to trying new products in the beauty department, I jumped at the chance to review a some staples by the famous line. I received a mascara, blush, lip balm and eye shadows, all of which I was pleasantly impressed by. I absolutely love the Shy Blush, which has a gold highlighting shimmer to it that isn’t overboard but noticeable in certain light. I’ve been mixing it with a basic mineral powder and the combo is so natural and flattering. The mascara has the perfect consistency so it hardly ever clumps and goes on so smoothly—I’m usually very picky when it comes to my mascara brush, but this one gets my vote for adding the perfect amount of volume.
