Every year we spend our 4th of July at the beach and sometimes the whole day until the fireworks start. It’s one of my favorite holidays because it’s all about having fun in the sun, eating good barbecued food and playing games. We’ll be heading to a friend’s beach house tomorrow, here’s a look at what’s on my checklist for the long, funfilled day! What’s on your 4th of July agenda?
1. A Comfortable Black Bikini—since I like swimming and playing smash ball I always opt for a full coverage, reliable black bikini that doesn’t leave me with odd strap marks. Vix Ruffled Bikini, $140

5. Wide Brim Hat—I try and hide my face from the sun every chance I get. I love having wide brim hats that really do the job. Forever 21 Straw Hat, $12.80
6. Water Bottle—I’m notorious for getting headaches from not staying hydrated in the sun. This water bottle is the greatest because you can fill it up with sink water and it filters it for you. So no excuses for not bringing water. Bobble Water Bottle, $10
7. Cover-Up—It’s always nice to have something light to throw on over a bikini when you don’t feel like strutting your stuff. This one by Lotta Stensson is perfect because it’s extra thin and billows in the wind a little. Lotta Sarong Poncho, $179
8. Underwater Camera—Whether it’s a pool or beach party, these are always so much fun to play around with. Fuji Quick Snap Underwater Camera, $10
9. Jean Shorts—I never leave home in the Summer without my favorite cut-off jean shorts. AE Distressed Denim Shorts, $36
10. Bocce Ball—A favorite game of the beau’s, I love a good round of Bocce at the beach. Chanel Bocce Ball Set.
11. Smashball—Another fun game that I get addicted to. So far my highest record with a friend got up to 60. Fingers crossed I can break it tomorrow! Smashball, $7
12. Beach Waves Spray—My hair takes on a life of it’s own thanks to salt water and a breeze. So I embrace it and enhance my unruly hair with some beach waves spray after going in the water. I always get the ultimate messy waves with this one. Philip B Maui Wowie Beach Mist, $22
