The tail end of Summer is always one of my favorite times of the year here in Santa Barbara. The weather is always the best, the beaches get quiet, sunsets are epic and that romantic golden Fall light sets in. To soak in this time we’ve been ending our days outside, lounging on the grass with the girls, cocktails in hand—we have a new favorite I’ll share with you soon!
While we’re physically still in summer my mind has been filling up with fall inspiration for both my wardrobe and lifestyle. I’ve picked up a few things this month that I was excited to share.
1.
My favorite (most worn) bikini this month has been the white Mott one-piece by Marysia. I love throwing on a pair of shorts with it or even a shirtdress thrown over.
2.
You guys know I’m a Jenni Kayne ambassador and fanatic. This month I became addicted to her leather strap sandals, especially this saddle color. They’re so simple and pair so well with everything.
3.
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of vintage Levis but struggling to actually might my dream denim appear during this pandemic—no flea markets to be had and I’m not going to lie, walking into a thrift store doesn’t sound ideal in this climate. So I ordered a pair of Re/Done jeans on Revolve and should be getting them in the next couple of weeks. Crossing my fingers they’ll be the ones!
4.
Even though it’s humid and hot right now, I’m super eager to start pulling out some cozy knits. I caved on my favorite Jenni Kayne cardigan of all time—The Cashmere Cocoon Sweater—in grey this time. Which means I now own it in all three colors, it’s that good!
5.
I caught a glimpse of the Dôen Sterling dress before they released the latest collection and literally marked my calendar so I wouldn’t miss out on it. It should arrive this week and I’m itching to wear it on a perfectly hot Indian Summer day. If you haven’t checked out their latest collection I highly suggest you grab one of their liberty print pieces, just pulled the trigger on the Opal Dress.
6.
With some solid Indian Summer beach nights on our horizon I caved and upgraded my beach chair. All about this brand and their stylish beach essentials.
7.
Stumbled on Rachel Pally’s website and dove deep into some of her pieces that all feel so perfect for life right now. Comfortable, refined and all the linen. I picked up the Linen Sandy Short and Linen Brea Jacket, which has been the perfect late summer early fall look set.
8.
My latest budget-friendly lately has been these sunglasses via Amazon that look *just* like the $300 something Celine sunglasses. I also don’t feel guilty at all when Lila chews on them since they’re under $20.
