During my grade school days I had to wear a uniform—polos, plaids, the whole works. Some of the kids hated it but I kind of loved it. I can still remember the embroidered school crest on my sweater and the navy and white plaid print skirt, which I asked for shorter and shorter every year. This fall I’ve found myself leaning towards plaid prints again (like this Equipment top) and remembering how much I love the preppy pattern. I wore this look for a recent Ariel Gordon Jewelry project and have been living in it these past few months.
