The Simple Black Maxi Dress

There’s a favorite motto I try to remember over and over again that I heard from Zac Posen a few years back. It was this, “keep it simple stupid”. The phrase immediately stuck with me and I use it as a reminder in various life scenarios, and of course in my wardrobe. So when I came across this epically simple black maxi dress at Old Navy I quickly picked it up. I had been craving a basic, slinky maxi dress that I could dress up or down for the summer months and was prepared to spend a pretty penny for the right find. Lucky for me this one was under $30. Lately I’ve been piling on the jewelry with it since it makes for the perfect canvas.
