If there’s one thing that leaves me stumped in front of my closet, it’s almost always the weather. My mood wants to wear one thing but the forecast is forcing me in another direction, something I blame on that in-between seasons period—hurry Spring. The past few days I’ve been feeling more than ready for sundresses, a slight tan and leaving doors open. But the recent breezy gusty (wind is not my friend!) days have pointed me in the direction of a trusty classic—the camel shawl coat. Year after year I wear this $80 coat I found at Zara. It’s become the fallback piece when I can’t seem to get excited about an outfit and need to cozy up in something and move forward with the day. It’s classic, basic (also functions as a robe, shh!) and I love the bit of sophistication that comes with it. So much so I’m always keeping an eye out for another one… and what do you know I found one and it’s even called “The Robe” coat. My fallback might just be getting an upgrade here soon.
