You guys all know I’m a sucker for neutrals—to a fault! But the height of summer (for me) usually means pulling out a little color, more than I usually do. Because really there’s no better time then when you have a hint of glow. But what are the best colorful statements? There’s no right or wrong, but if you ask me, here are the best of the best if you’re on a summer high.
Bubblegum Pink
At the top of my list primarily because I found this amazing A.P.C. dress on Shopbop. It’s bright and happy and the tones just make your tan look that much deeper.

Burnt Tangerine
I love this shade during the summer months, it really seems like the only suitable time to wear it and as we fade into fall I reach for it in darker versions. But this my friends, is the color that was made for showing some skin…

Mellow Mustard
I rarely wear any shade of yellow, it’s just never been my thing. So I usually sway to the deeper end of the spectrum towards mustard, or super light like buttery palettes—but only in summer. Either one pairs perfectly with golden limbs.
