I love a good winter coat. But of course, I also happen to live in California where you’ll rarely see (or need) a beautiful overcoat. So while I do have a few heavy ones that I pull out for trips to the East Coast or those once-in-a-blue-moon super cold California days, most of the time I keep my eyes peeled for the thinnest coats I can find—and yes they do exist! 

I wore this Wool Blend Coat by Rails a ton last week in northern California and on a few gloomy Santa Barbara days. It was warm, but not too warm, and still gave me the look of a classic overcoat. Which became a topic of conversation with friends who complimented me on it. Where did you find such a thin coat? I need one! So here you go friends, a few thin coats for us West Coast winter dreamers.
