Friday List 7.19

July 19, 2019

If there’s one thing I learned about summertime and motherhood it’s this—have a plan. The pre-school Elin is in doesn’t continue through Summer (depends on the day if I’m a fan of this or not, ha) so I’ve learned these past few years to really schedule our time, whether that be work, vacation or just carefree days at home. Back in May I must have really needed a vacation because I somehow planned three in a row. So while I squeeze a little work in here and there, overall it has felt more like summer this month than ever before. Here are some highlights from the past few weeks.

1.

Maybe it’s all the time in the pool and at the beach but my hair has been a bit blah lately and all I seem to want to do is throw it in a bun. This article on GOOP gave me a little inspiration to tidy up my diet, treat my hair a little more delicately and invest in a good hair oil.

2.

Our recent trip to Ojai Valley Inn & Spa was incredibly relaxing. It’s one of my favorite places to go with Elin because she runs free on the golf course in the evenings while we casually have dinner. It’s a win win and they’re spa is one of my favorites. I’ll be sharing more of our stay next week.

3.

Have you guys checked out the Nordstrom sale lately? It’s open to non-cardmembers this week so be sure to check out the deals before they’re gone. You can find this post I shared on my favorite picks (some I ended up ordering) and thought I would share these slides that I’ve been living in from Nordstrom that are under $100 and so comfortable.

4.

Bonpoint is one of our absolute favorite brands when it comes to Elin’s wardrobe. Right now they’re Summer collection is on sale and the new Winter collection is here. I’ve shopping both as of late, I have no will power when it comes to cute French kids clothes.

5.

The Dôen dress I can’t stop wearing (Minetta in salt), sadly sold out. But this week they launched more new pieces that are so so good. I have my eye on the Avena dress and Ranger Dress

6.

One of our routines when we go to Ojai is a stop at Beacon coffee and a quick browse at Cattywampus Crafts. It’s a quirky store, one side is filled with colorful yarn and things for knitting, while the other has books, ceramics, cards, gifts and the best notebooks—every time I’m there I pick up a new one. Is anyone else obsessed with cool notebooks? I’m a blank pages kind of girl, which are hard to find, so when I find one I love I scoop it up. I might have to do a post on the subject, would you guys be into it?
