Easing Into 2023

January 11, 2023

Hi! It’s been a minute! Hope you all had a good holiday and break. I’ve been easing into 2023, with all the crazy rain storms we’ve been having here in California I’ve been soaking in the time at home with a cozy fire. Sometimes a slow start is the best kind of start because it gives you a beat to organize your thoughts, get aligned with where you want to be headed and start fresh. Also organizing is my favorite way to start a new year. I went through my wardrobe, a few other drawers and closets and it feels SO good to purge a little.

Other ways I’ve been resting and resetting… a facial at my favorite Skin Resolutions (Lynda is amazing and she will incorporate some reiki and crystal therapy to make your facial something extra)… a Thai massage (we have the best spot in our neighborhood)… taking the GOOP Detoxifying Powder everyday and *attempting* to try meditation… finding the app Insight Timer super helpful which has guided meditations and music… zero faith that I will be able to keep this up but figured I’d share as I like playing the music to help me focus a little better too.

And lastly what I’ve been wearing this month… the cozy sweatpant set I got last month has come in handy (highly recommend as I love the structured fit of the fabric) and coats, layers, jackets on repeat—reaching for my Toteme Quilted jacket most days or this shearling coat that I wore a ton in Sun Valley as well. Also still finding myself ordering more cozy socks to wear in and out of the house, I’ve been pairing them with sneakers, Birkenstocks and loafers almost everyday. Leaning into bright poppy reds more lately, rich brown leather tote bags and an oversized fisherman knit sweater is currently on my wishlist.

Overall, I’m just excited for this year ahead. I have a collaboration with a brand coming up that I can’t wait to share more on, two major milestone events (a big birthday and a big anniversary) and a trip that Todd and I are going on just the two of us—which hasn’t happened for a very very long time.

Wishing all of you an amazing year ahead… xx Sam
