Wow it’s been a minute since I’ve hopped in here! After doing an Instagram Q&A and some of you brought up missing my posts here, I was inspired to revisit my OG platform. So here we are. It’s October (how?) and I’m currently at my desk with a hot cup of coffee looking out to a grey cozy day which feels very on par for the season—love when California decides to fall in line weather wise, get the coats out! Anyways, I hope you’re enjoying these Fall days here is a quick rundown of what I’ve been wearing lately.
I recently did a partnership with J.Crew and I was SO impressed with the pieces I got to style. Of course we all want and love the classic rollneck sweater they brought back from the archives but I was equally impressed with the pieces I got to style with it. The suede handbag felt like a legit high-end designer handbag the way it slouched and felt and then the jeans felt nearly identical to my favorite red line vintage levis—the closest style I have yet to find. I went true to size in them and the fit was so good. Speaking of jeans, over the summer my sisters and I ventured to Lenny’s where you can pick out vintage jeans and then they fit you right there on the spot if they need any mending or adjusting. It was such a fun experience and the inventory was solid. I left with three jeans I’ve been now living in this fall.
Aside from lots of denim, I’ve been bouncing between these Miu Miu sneakers and these Isabel Marant moccasins (similar suede loafers for $100) that give off a bit of a vintage Dad vibe that I love (and wrote about on my substack). The Miu Miu sneakers were definitely an investment but they have become my favorite thing in my closet and I have zero regrets. I’ve been switching out the laces and having fun with different pairings with them.
La Ligne has been inspiring my knitwear (also have a code for all things—Samantha10). I can’t get over this green or this pale blue that is just so pretty. Also all things Suzi Kondi, I lived in her pieces over the Spring/Summer and can’t get over this stunning work of art but also this striped knit and this cashmere vest.
Since getting this bag (and discovering the brand) I’m really leaning into bandana as a print for Fall mixed with denim and accenting the usual fall favorites. Just found some fun outfits and inspiring images that I saved to my pinterest page.
Happy Fall styling! Some favorites I rounded up…
