It’s been hotter than hot these days, proving that all you really need during these summer months is a cold beverage, some easy breathable wardrobe basics that will take you to any sandy scene. Enter my latest discovery, Vilebrequin, thought up during a sunny afternoon in St. Tropez in the 70’s—can you picture it? The collection is as timeless as the story and you can be sure to find pieces that you wind up throwing in your bag for any summery escapade.

Three Pieces I can’t stop wearing…

#1: I love a classic polo, especially if an afternoon on a boat is on your agenda. The looser the better if you ask me. I slipped the Linen Jersey Polo on and immediately knew I needed it in every color—white and red is on its way, can’t come soon enough. 

#2: A friend invited us on his boat recently and I realized how badly I needed a good pair of boating/beach shorts. Jeans are not a good idea, skirts are definitely no bueno and a dress? Forget about it. Too bad I didn’t have these Vilebrequin Shorties yet because they are the ultimate summer essential when it comes to doing anything but maybe tanning. They’re great around water, aren’t restricting while covering you up just enough. 

#3: Classic and undeniably cool, aviators are a no brainer if you ask me, especially when paired with staples like these. The Halt style are oversized, which I love, like they were stolen from a race car driver.
