I’m Blushing

February 15, 2013
I used to never wear blush. It always seemed like an unnecessary step that could be overdone far to easily—basically I was lazy about it. But lately I’ve come to love a touch of pink on my cheeks and realized it’s worth the extra effort and finding those perfect tools and colors. Here are some basic products and brushes I’ve been loving and some tips below on looking naturally flushed.
Products, clockwise from top left:
Benefit Dallas—a hybrid of bronzer and blush that leaves a sun kissed glow.
Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Sunset—a quality blush at the fraction of the price.
My two favorite brushes to blend and apply blushes with, Trish McEvoy Blush Brush and #55 Blending Brush.

BareMinerals All-Over Face Color in Rose Radiance—my favorite girly pink color.
BeneTint—a tinted liquid I like to mix with my foundation or lotion.
Nars Blush in Orgasm—A peachy/pink blush that mixes perfectly with bronzer.
Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush—a creamy blush that’s perfect for a dewy look.

Quick tips and side notes:
#1 Smile. Where the rounds of your cheeks show, that’s where you should dab on a little color. Blend back towards your cheekbones.
#2 If you use a liquid foundation go for a liquid blush so you can blend it easier.
#3 Start with a small amount and check your face in the daylight, indoor lighting can sometimes be deceiving. Plus you don’t want to leave the house looking like an 80’s prom queen.
