There’s something about the heat that makes everything and everyone go silent. The pace slows down and things get still. We’re having yet another heat wave—c’mon fall!—and I for one felt like I was dragging my feet thanks to the 85 plus temperatures. It’s nearly impossible to get anything done and the only thing that sounds remotely comfortable is setting up shop at the pool or beach. Yesterday my subdued mood had me reaching for a muted look while pushing aside anything close to black.

Looks like us West Coasters are going to have to hold out a little longer for Fall to arrive. My silver lining? I’ll be poolside most of next week. Head over to @couldihavethat on instagram to see where we’re headed for one last getaway before baby.
