My Summer Sale Picks

July 3, 2019

Now that Summer is in full swing it’s hard to think about anything but sunshine, bikinis, beach time and what am I bringing to that barbecue tomorrow again? But before you dive deep into the week, be sure to check out some of the insanely good sales that are happening for the long weekend.

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a terrible sale shopper in the sense that I can easily loose control and take on the mindset of “well it’s on sale so I should buy it!” And then more than half of what I end up buying I don’t really need or don’t end of wearing. I just spent a good chunk of time browsing the sales that are currently happening and I have to say, this little tip that a fellow shopper gave me is key when it comes to smart sale buys. Make a list of things your wardrobe is missing or needing so you can keep yourself on track and check in with it before buying anything. Second bit of advice, stick to brands you know and basics you wear everyday.

With those tips in mind, here are some sale items I own and love that I discovered on mark down and the things I have my eye on.

Mytheresa

I own two of these Staud bags and I love the design (letting some things show like sunglasses) and the color is so easy to pair with neutral patterns. Mytheresa is one of my favorite online shopping stops and right now they have some great brands like Ganni (the dress pictured is on sale here), Acne, Staud (including this bag!), By Far, Chloe and more on sale up to 70% off. These are a few favorites currently in my shopping cart…

Swimwear

At this point we’re all in need of a new swimsuit or two, am I right? I found some pretty good ones on sale, my only dilemma is deciding if I’m a two piece or one-piece kind of gal this summer. Leaning towards one-piece (as I reach for more chocolate covered almonds while writing these, ha).

Handbags

One of the easiest things to score on sale is a handbag. You bypass any fit issues and it’s usually something you can never have too many of. And of course, if you’re hard on your bags, a new one might just be what your wardrobe is needing to look more polished.

Under $200

Whenever I do get into sale seasons I always look for pieces that feel like a steal for the price. Here are some I came across that caught my eye, one in particular that I ended up buying, this Sherpa Sweatshirt that looked so cozy for summer s’more nights.
