With all this time at home I’ve been playing around with different skincare and makeup products so I figured I’d share what I’ve loved and what’s definitely going to be a mainstay in my makeup routine. Spring in is a good time to change things up, throw out anything you’re not loving/using and anything that has expired. I did a mini bathroom cleanse the other day and it felt so good to have everything organized, cleaned up and most of all displaying some new products that I’m excited about. Here’s what I’ve been inspired by and using the most lately.
Let’s start with Skincare…
I have super duper sensitive skin and am pretty picky when it comes to skincare products. Lately I’ve been really into Susanna Kaufman glow mask for a mini refresh, which I follow up with Sturm Hyaluronic Serum, my #1 beauty product I can’t live without. I’ve also been trying the Peter Thomas Roth Hyaluronic Cloud serum which is also pretty good and a fraction of the price! For me, Spring is all about that super fresh, dewy glow so I’ve been alternating between two moisturizers that I love—IS Clinical Youth Complex and Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème. Skin Inc just released a new serum that is insanely good called the Glow Filter and it does just that. It’s great as a makeup base or just on it’s own.
Makeup Currently On Rotation…
Overall I think I wear makeup twice a week these days, just for fun and sometimes I need it as a mood lifter. For a while I was sticking to a mineral foundation after a bad breakout, but I’ve finally branched out to try another one and so far Hourglass’s Vanish Foundation in Linen has been a favorite. It makes my skin look flawless and natural at the same time. For a more dewy look I’ve been loving the Chanel CC Cream in 20 Beige that also has SPF 50 in it, topped with Hourglass Ambient Highlighter and bronzer, which is hands down my favorite discovery as of late. Kosas, one of my favorite clean beauty brands, just released a new bronzer as well that I’ve been loving. A strong brow always feels good, so I’ve been playing around with Hourglass Sculpting Pencil in soft brunette with Ilia Essential Brow Gel in dark brown. Lastly, Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm that’s thick and hydrating but isn’t too sticky which I love.
