There is so much cool/tough girl energy this fall that I had to share some favorites I’ve been leaning towards. From leather jackets and moto boots to studs and bomber jackets there’s an undeniable move towards looking like someone you may not want to mess with. My personal take on this for fall is to mix these tougher pieces with classic ones for a slightly “rough around the edges” vibe. For example mini skirts paired with moto boots or cashmere sweaters under a bomber jacket… I love the endless unexpected combos you can pair with pieces that have a bit of grit. 

I’m not going to lie, I had a hard time identifying what I was excited about investing in for Fall and finally landed on some things that I took the plunge on today, all heavily influenced by this “cool girl” trend. First, a bomber jacket… I haven’t had one in my closet for years and found so many great options everywhere. I ended up ordering this one and this one that I plan on styling with gray/black jeans and ballet flats or Mary Janes. Moto boots are back full force and I just got a pair that I love from Freda Salvador—warning these will go fast! I fell hard for this studded Khaite bag and took the plunge, I’ll report back that I love the idea of pairing this with a basic jeans and tee, a statement accessory that will take basic pieces to the next level.
