Elevated Activewear

February 13, 2024

This year I’ve made a more conscious effort to be more active, we’re not talking “I’m getting up at 5 am to do a cardio class” (definitely not my speed) but more 30 min neighborhood walks when I can squeeze them in, a hike date versus lunch date or making that spontaneous mat pilates class happen every once in a while. It all started when I was in my cleaning mode back in January and decided to really edit my activewear drawer. I got rid of so much and it felt so good. Enough to inspire me to wear them more and thanks to Varley I added a few new pieces that have made me much more excited about my 2024 physical endeavors.

Pictured above: Varley puffer, leggings, ON running shoes, wool shirt (love a good wool basic to keep me warm on walks) and socks

I have to say, I haven’t met an activewear brand that feels more luxurious in feel and fit while still having a friendly price tag. The Varley joggers are the softest fabric I’ve ever laid my fingertips on, the leggings are perfection on all levels and I feel like I need every single outwear piece on the site. I wore this puffer in the snow but recently got the same cocoa colored leggings and have been pairing the two with black for chilly morning walks. I also can’t get enough of this zip sweater/jacket style that feels elevated and polished to throw on over a tee or sports top, plus I love how you can style it a few different ways.

The other thing I added to my activewear drawer were some new socks. I ordered a new set of these sport socks, love that the trio is basic black, white and grey and that the bottoms have traction (absolute favorite pilates socks)… and this pair because I liked the slate gray. I love a good sock during the winter months and it has been a necessity for my walking game lately.

Here’s to getting more steps in this year! A few favorites I rounded up for a more elevated activewear drawer.
