A candelabra in the Huntington Mansion
When my mom and I both agreed that we needed a fun girls weekend together we tossed around a visit to some of our usual locales, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Malibu and L.A. Oddly we couldn’t get off the fence and make a decision so we decided to sleep on it and connect the next day. I had almost forgotten about our need for a decision when I got a text that said, Pasadena! I was sold when she mentioned something about a tea house and an old mansion. We ended up having one of the best weekends together filled with amazing food, shopping, exploring, museums, art, movies and making new friends—something my mom is exceptionally good at. Here’s some snaps from our Pasadena girls weekend. See my list of favorites below!
Creme brulee French Toast at Julienne.
Details from the Huntington Mansion.
The Father of The Bride house.
Colorful pillows at Maude Woods on Holly Street. Tons of fun vintage finds here!
Therapy, a clothing boutique on Holly Street that had just about all my favorite lines.
We spent our last day exploring the Norton Simon museum, which is home to some of my favorite Degas ballet pieces.
Signs of fall were everywhere.
