Orchard to Table

Last Summer I had the sudden urge to make a blood orange cocktail but was completely disappointed when I learned that they’re only in season November through May. Since we’ve been having a mini heat wave recently in California, I decided to make my much anticipated cocktail for a sunny winter day. I used this recipe that calls for champagne and gin and used fresh picked blood oranges from the beau’s parent’s orchard. It was a perfectly sweet and refreshing mix that I will definitely be making again.
