Top Five Palm Springs Pools

February 29, 2016

HAUTE_LOOK_MODERNISM_WEEK_2016_045It’s no secret that I have a slight love affair with the desert. I’ve been going there since I was two-years-old and can remember when certain blocks were nothing but empty plots of land. On a recent girls trip the first thing I did upon arriving to The Avalon Hotel was put my bikini on and hit the pool with Alicia. I realized (sans baby) how relaxing it really is and how much I love setting up with a stack of magazines, my favorite arnold palmer and a girlfriend to catch up with. I left our trip fantasizing about the next poolside Palm Springs vacation and decided to share my top five pools to visit. So here it goes…

Wearing a Marysia swimsuit (Antibes Maillot), skip below to see more from her amazing line. She just released new styles, I can’t get enough!
HAUTE_LOOK_MODERNISM_WEEK_2016_040#1: The Parker. A nearby lemonade stand and the most stylish setting always puts me in the right kind of Palm Springs mood. Also the white and yellow umbrellas get me every time.

#2 The Colony Palms. I’ve stayed here once and have been DYING to return. I loved everything about it but the thing that stole my heart was a three piece jazz band that played poolside a few hours one afternoon.

HAUTE_LOOK_MODERNISM_WEEK_2016_049 HAUTE_LOOK_MODERNISM_WEEK_2016_041#3 La Quinta Resort and Spa. Ok technically this is not in Palm Springs, but I had to include it because I’ve pool hopped this place my whole life. There are something like 40 or 50 pools on the property and each one has charm of its own. We used to skip around just to try each one out. They’re all intimate and small with that Spanish hacienda feel, which I can’t get enough of.

#4 The Avalon Hotel, where these shots were taken. A little old Palm Springs glamour is always a crowd pleaser. The spa pool was my favorite with a lounging beds, a black and white cabana and ample shady spots.

#5 L’Horizon. The one spot I haven’t been to that I’ve heard is amazing. Possible getaway with the husband might be in order since kids aren’t allowed here. Just take a gander at the website, yes please, romantic escape.
