After our getaway at Alisal Ranch in Santa Ynez I found myself sinking into the season. Nothing like a fireside night and hot toddies to put you in the fall mood. Ever since our little ranch escapade the air finally cooled off, we got a sprinkling of rain and thanks to some under-the-weather family members we were total homebodies over the weekend. I wasn’t complaining one bit since it gave me a chance to cozy up with some reading material. Here are some highlights from my week.
{ Above: A new issue of Porter Magazine, Recipes For A Beautiful Life (a great read on motherhood) and A Wilder Life. }
{ A new beauty obsession, Giorgio Armani Crema Nuda. A cross between BB Cream and foundation that gives the most amazing light coverage and brightening affect. }{ A highlight from our Alisal Ranch stay was the early morning hayride to a hillside hideaway for breakfast. Hands down the best bacon I’ve ever had and this view on the way wasn’t so bad either. One thing we didn’t get around to was fishing on this lake, next time! }
{ Took some notes for my future ranch home at the historic adobe. }
{ My mom came along with us to Alisal Ranch and brought these Osh Kosh overalls that I wore in the early 80’s. The things our moms hang on to! They fit Elin perfectly so she wore them almost every day of our stay there. }
