Topic of every conversation I’ve had this week goes something like this… “ugh this weather is killing me!” It’s true this summer has been off to a rough start considering it has literally rained the last three mornings and we’ve had about 3 hours of sunshine in the last 5 days. Send help! But despite the terribly gray weather we’re having, I’ve found brightness in cooking, picking up fresh produce from our farmer’s market, curling up next to the fire with a good book, browsing some of the insane sales that are happening now and building forts with Elin. I hope it’s sunny where you are and if you could pop some in the mail for us coastal Californians we’d love you forever!

We’re headed to Montage Laguna Beach this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited to re-visit one of our favorite spots. The thing I’m most excited to do is sit around that fire pit at night, making s’mores and listening to the waves crash in the distance.

I have this thing with finding simple nude leather sandals every year for summer. My latest find, this Strap Sandal by Jenni Kayne. Also during these super drizzly gray mornings I’ve been taking time to journal, writing down ideas, dreams, things I’m grateful for, things that I’m frustrated with… just getting whatever out on paper feels like a fresh start. As part of my morning ritual I have a cup of matcha and light my favorite Jenni Kayne candle, Ash. I just bought a fresh one and I’m obsessed with the smell.

Run, don’t walk, to your computer and check out the massive sale Ariel Gordon Jewelry kicked off today. It only happens once a year so snag those pieces you’ve had your eye on now! At the tippy top of my list is this gold Spring Ring.

Do you guys tune into Gaby Galkin’s of What’s Gaby Cookin’ Instagram Lives every Monday? They’re so good and it totally inspired me to try some new recipes in the kitchen. Like this mixed berry galette—drool! You can watch all of her recipes on her IGTV channel, although I warn you it could take up an hour (or two) of your day.

On the topic of wellness, I have a new obsession. A friend sent me Beauty Water, which is a book all about infusing your water with anything from seasoning and fruit to herbs and crystals. There are recipes for boosting your libido, energy, hydration and detoxing concoctions. I’ve ready it cover to cover and order a few ingredients to start making me own. I’ll most definitely share my favorites with you all!

Raise your hand if you’ve been sucked into all those amazing sales happening right now? I found so many good things at Net-a-Porter (up to 70% off!) including a Kayu bag I just bought in April that’s now only $112. Here are things currently in my shopping carts around the web:
