Ever since our last sunny getaway to Mexico in November, I’ve been day dreaming about another trip that involves sunscreen and bikinis. And since we’re all probably getting tired of the cooler temps, here are some destinations to inspire a Springtime getaway.
1. Montage Los Cabos
I took these shots from our trip in November and I have to say, it’s by far one of my favorite resorts we’ve ever been to. For starters it’s on the best (maybe only) swimming beach in Cabo, Santa Maria Bay, also famous for its snorkeling. Everything about this gem is a dream from the architecture and setting to the food and amazing spa. There’s just something about sipping a margarita on the beach, going for a swim in the warm water and forgetting what time it is that feels like pure bliss. I did this here and consider it my ultimate happy place.
2. Parker Palm Springs
The next best thing to Mexico if you ask me. Palm Springs (for us) doesn’t require a plane flight so when I’m really craving that dry desert heat we head here, sometimes on a whim! We have a few favorites in Palm Springs that we frequent but it’s been a few years since we stayed at Parker Palm Springs—last time I was pregnant and about to pop! I love the 70’s inspired decor, Parisian vibes and good lord the donuts at Norma’s with the lemon curd dip might be my favorite vacation indulgence.
3. The Caribbean
My grandparents were some of the best travelers I knew. They had been all over the world in their lifetime and one of their favorite spots ever was the Bahamas. The later part of their life they went there 15 years in a row with close friends for an annual trip. Todd and I had it on our honeymoon list but opted for Africa instead because of the timing and weather. SO, needless to say this area of the world, which I’ve never been to, is heavy on my mind. I’m dying to visit a few spots I’ve discovered—The Dunmore, Ocean View Club, Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa, and Cheval Blanc St. Barths.
4. Amangiri
Every photo I’ve seen of this destination looks like a visual master piece. The architecture is crazy cool set in a remote location against rugged cliffs in Utah. If you haven’t put this place on your radar, definitely take a gander. I’m dying to make a trip happen this year.
5. Four Seasons Resort Seychelles Desroches
Todd and I honeymooned in the Seychelles (Mahe and Denis Island) and it was no surprise one of the dreamiest, most memorable trips/places we have ever been to. We talk about going back all the time and just discovered that the Four Seasons just opened a new resort on another island there. After we looked through the website and images it made us antsy to get back there. I can close my eyes and feel that tropical air, the smells and the super fine sand on the beach.
Spring Getaway Essentials
One of the things I love about a warm weather getaway is that you don’t need much. It’s easy to pack, just don’t forget your sunscreen.
