There’s a sweet spot during the Fall when wearing boots is more of a seasonal nod than a necessity and right now I’m loving these warmish California days that set the stage for a dress and boot pairing—no jacket needed! Also gives us all a chance to wear those summer dresses a few moons longer. My absolute favorite pairing lately has been this polka dot dress with suede boots by Dôen, which I might add are so beautifully made and comfortable. I recently had a chance to try a few styles from the brand and learned that their shoes are made in Italy and gosh you can tell. 

Other boots of note… this pair by Toteme that I got last year is beyond classic and in my opinion a great price considering they look like an Hermes boot… Dôen makes this stunning riding boot that has a similar shape (have and love, tts!) another great one to pair with a summer dress or a mini skirt. I spotted these recently and loved the “cool girl” vibes that they had and could see with some great vintage jeans… along those same lines these Freda Salvador waterproof boots are of course among my favorites for pairing with a great ivory fisherman knit… lastly this Khaite boot I got last year is still such a favorite styled with vintage Levi’s and a leather jacket.
