There are two kinds of people in the month of February… those that love Valentine’s Day and those that avoid it at all cost. To me it doesn’t only involve romantic relationships, red roses and cheesy swag. It’s a sweet excuse to make someone (anyone from a co-worker to your husband) feel special. Whether that be as simple as getting them coffee or surprising them with a fun gift. I love getting crafty for Valentine’s Day—the Martha Stewart in me comes out or the 10-year-old who’s sticker happy. I suddenly feel the need to grab all the vintage lace, beautiful card stock and washi tape I can find to assemble handmade notes for my girlfriends. If I get my act together I throw in a bunch of flowers or a tiny gift of some sort.
So if you’re in the mood and celebrating this year—no judgment if you’re anti-mushiness—here are some fun ideas to make your favorite girls smile.
Lip Balm Ring
I love this lip balm to begin with, it's the most luxurious that I've tried. But in the form of a ring? It's like a ring pop but better. Be still my second-grade heart! I love this idea for my girlfriends.
Inside this box there are 30 packets of Goop Glow—a powder mix of antioxidants to help improve your skin and make you gorgeous, I'm sold. I love the idea of attaching a packet to a hand crafted card. And budget wise, it ends up being totally doable with 30 packets inside. I don't know about you but I'd be stoked to get this as a sweet surprise.
Surprise your mom, daughter or best friend with a bottle of nail polish and a note for a pedicure. You can spoil yourself at the same time and you'll get quality time with them. Win, win. This brand is one of my favorites (clean nail polish) and if you're ever in LA be sure to stop by their crazy cute nail salon.
