The thing about Morocco is that there’s always something amazing around the corner that you least expect. One day we headed out to the Agafay desert on the outskirts of Marrakech for a camel ride and lunch at La Pause. The drive alone was an adventure, half being out in the bumpy desert terrain. Seeing what was beyond the bustling city was fun in itself. About 30 minutes into our drive our driver pointed out our destination, which was about a 2 miles away on a windy (and dusty) road. It was a cluster of palm trees and dusty pink buildings, a mini oasis. When we arrived, I was completely taken over by the coolness of it all, down to the pillows, which I came home with. {Wearing: Equipment top, Joie pants, Yosi Samra sandals, fringe bag found at the Souks (similar), Vince scarf and aviators. }{ Tents set up for lunch and dinner. La Pause also has a handful of rooms for overnight stays. }{ On my desert dude: CWST shirt, RRL jeans, J.Crew shoes, Garrett Leight sunnies. }{ La Pause gives you straw hats upon arrival in case you forgot yours. }{ The most adorable French strawberry blonde boy roamed the grounds that day. }{ My only regret, not packing a swimsuit. } After our half day in the desert we headed back to the Four Seasons for some R&R and a trip to the spa. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax after a long morning in the sun.
